Merriween is a heritage Toorak residence refreshed through a design-management-led approach, with the objective of elevating the property for the $10M+ residential market.
Our role focused on guiding a full cosmetic renewal of the home, ensuring each update felt considered, cohesive and commercially strategic. Rather than altering the architectural fabric, the design direction worked with the property’s existing heritage character, enhancing its presentation through refined finishes, colour selection, lighting upgrades, material coordination and overall design management.
The design strategy was centred on perceived value: improving the way the home photographs, presents and feels to future buyers. Every cosmetic decision was considered in relation to the property’s architecture, surrounding landscape and target market, creating a residence that felt elegant, enduring and ready for its next chapter.
The property was successfully sold in line with the desired market expectations, reinforcing the value of a design-led approach to cosmetic renewal and sale presentation.
A muted and sophisticated palette was introduced to bring calm and continuity throughout the home. Soft white tones, warm ambient lighting and carefully selected detailing were used to highlight the original mouldings, proportions and period features, while giving the interiors a fresher and more contemporary sensibility.
